DESCRIPTION:The Lardner Colour Alpaca Show is a long standing event in the Australian Alpaca Association event calendar\, and is run by members of the Victoria Eastern Region.  We will be holding both fleece and halter shows on the day with over 100 Suri and Huacaya alpacas competing for championship and supreme awards.  Some exhibitors will be attending from interstate.  We will also have some stall holders selling alpaca raw fleece\, yarn and product on the day.   Breeders and stall holders love nothing better than to talk about fleece qualities\, genetics and the alpaca industry\, so anyone interested in animals\, fleece or product would enjoy this event. \n  \nThis event will be held on the property in conjunction with Craft Markets Australia and a car park entry fee of $3 will apply.  Feel free to wander into the market displays and food stalls whilst at the alpaca show.

DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re a runner or not\, we are hosting one of the latest crazes on the Ultra running scene\, which is known as a Backyard Ultra (BYU). \n  \nYes\, on Friday 18 July\, at 10am\, over 100 participants will take place in a race that doesn’t have an official time – it effectively goes until there is only 1 runner left\, which means we could see these legends still running on Monday! \nHow it works: Every hour\, on the hour\, participants start together and are required to run a 6.71km yard around Lardner Park.  You can do it in 30 minutes\, you can take 59 minutes\, as long as you are in the starting corral to start the next yard\, then it’s all good. \nSounds like fun – until it isn’t! Haha \nNot interested in running? Well that’s okay.  This is a spectator friendly event and we encourage you to come out for a look\, cheer on the runners (there are many locals having a crack\, as well as some of Australia’s best) and even give us a helping hand on an aid station or similar. \n  \nAny questions – reach out to local runner and one of the Race Directors\, Paul Pratt\, on 0407268392 for more details. \n

A tea and coffee station will be available as well as water refill stations. However\, you may choose to bring extra snacks. \n  \nWhat to Bring: \nSleeping bag\, light camp mattress and/or cardboard.
