We are blown away with the support for Farm World 2021.
After the ups and downs of Covid-19 and the Health Department’s restrictions, the enjoyment of seeing so many visitors wandering around the grounds of Lardner Park was fantastic. Exhibitors were equally as supportive and provided a great range of displays and products.
It was awesome to achieve three days of sold-out crowds. Apologies to those who couldn’t get a ticket. The enforced restriction of patron numbers was understandable in the current climate, and the health of our visitors is uppermost. Our on-line booking system ran smoothly and even the Department of Health commended us for a well-run event. We can only suggest to book tickets early next year!
Farm World proves that horse lovers come from all age groups. While the Equestrian Expo was a highlight for spectators and competitors, Blossom’s Ponies were a treat for the little ones. Many smiles were shown on horseback from young and old.
The focus of Farm World is being a true agricultural event and this is always uppermost in our minds. This year’s Return to Heritage theme was shown across the event, but none more so than by the Warragul Historical Society who put on an informative display of old machinery. Not far away were tractor demos of the modern variety. CWA chipped in as well, as they always do, by providing delicious Devonshire teas.
Women in Ag had their time to shine also, with three great speakers drawing crowds at the Telstra sponsored event. It was a great chance to network, as was the Commonwealth Bank’s ’Yarn at the Farm’.
In other exciting news, the cattle pavilion was officially opened on the first day of Farm World. For those unaware, Lardner Park is the new home for local cattle sales until a new facility is built in Longwarry in approximately two years.
Until then, we will be holding calf markets every Monday and dairy cattle sales every second Friday. Keep an ear out for a coming announcement about the Lardner Park Steer Trial!
Of course, none of our Farm World 2021 success was possible without the great support from our strategic partners and Farm World sponsors, and we thank them sincerely.
Dates for Farm World 2022 are Friday 25th to Sunday 27th of March. Exhibitor applications will be open in the second half of 2021, so we will keep you posted.
Until then, we hope everyone had a great time at Farm World and we look forward to seeing you at Lardner Park again soon.
